OILS FOR TWO & FOUR CYCLE GASOLINE
Oils for two- and four-stroke gasoline engines are specially formulated lubricants that meet the requirements of each engine type. Two- and four-stroke engines differ in how they work and therefore have different engine oil requirements.
Two-stroke engines:
- In two-stroke engines, the oil is mixed with the fuel. These engines do not have a separate oil circuit, which is why the oil is consumed during combustion.
- Two-stroke oil must have good miscibility with gasoline, provide effective lubrication and minimize combustion residues.
- It is often enriched with additives that protect the engine from deposits and corrosion while extending its service life.
Four-stroke engines:
- Four-stroke engines have a separate lubrication system in which the oil is collected in the oil pan and transported to the lubrication points using a pump.
- Four-stroke oil must have high thermal stability and oxidation resistance to function efficiently under high temperatures and pressures.
- It contains additives that reduce friction, minimize wear and keep the engine clean.
