Sustainable solutions for waste oil and drinking water protection
Waste oil represents a significant global environmental problem as one liter can contaminate up to a million liters of drinking water. Around 25 million tons of waste oil are produced every year, of which up to 95% is burned, landfilled or released into nature. Our solution is the sustainable and centralized treatment of waste oil. Using state-of-the-art refinery technologies, we convert waste oil into reusable base oils and use remaining waste to generate energy. This significantly reduces environmental impact and provides a stable and cost-effective energy source for countries with weak energy supplies.

FROMM German Oil & Lubricant Technology is a global network company that has already implemented numerous projects in the European Union. Supported by a highly qualified team and in close collaboration with scientific institutions, we strive to meet the high standards for sustainable and environmentally friendly resource use worldwide. Our refinery in Vietnam is an example of our efforts: with a capacity of 50,000 tons per year, it is the first large-scale waste oil recycling plant in Southeast Asia and makes a significant contribution to reducing CO2 emissions.
Workflow
Sustainable conversion of waste oil
Step 01
Collection and sorting
We collect used oil from vehicles, industrial plants and maritime applications. The used oil is transported to our facility, sorted and cleaned of contaminants to prepare it for the recycling process.
Step 02
Refining and reuse
In our refinery, the used oil is cleaned and converted into reusable base oils. Removing pollutants creates high-quality lubricants, reducing the carbon footprint and minimizing environmental impact.
Step 03
Energy production and sustainability
Residual waste and by-products of the refinery process are used to generate energy. This energy supplies the system or is fed into the local power grid. This promotes renewable energy and sustainably reduces environmental pollution.
